Alexandra Ballet would like to welcome you to the city of St. Louis, long known as the Gateway to the West.  This May, we will proudly rename our city the  Gateway to Dance, as we greet hundreds of guests in the form of directors, dancers, gifted faculty, and musicians, here to participate in the 2005 Regional Dance America Mid-States Festival.

The mission of Alexandra Ballet is to “educate, elevate, and enrich the community through the art of dance.”  This mission figures prominently in the planning of the Gateway to Dance, with classes, seminars, and performances designed to educate, elevate, and enrich our own community of dancers here in the Mid-States Region.  Alexandra Ballet is proud to host this exciting event as part of our 20th Anniversary Season.

Alexandra Ballet’s Board of Directors, dancers, and scores of volunteers look forward to hosting you from May 19-21, 2005, and celebrating the very best this region has to offer, at Gateway to Dance.
